Pizza Party

Biggest dorks with the biggest pizza box
If there's one thing I love more than literally everything else in existence - it's pizza. Whether you're in a good or bad mood, alone or with others - there is never a bad time for pizza. If my friends all suddenly turned into pizza, I would eat them all with no remorse. If my house turned into pizza, I'd be homeless. Back in February I managed to style an outfit around some pizza slice accessories and there is literally a pizza in my oven right now, that's how dedicated I am to the cause.

Whilst sifting through my inbox the other day, one particular email titled "Pizza Box Exhibition" caught my attention. It was from Hungry House, evidently I'd ordered pizza using their website previously, and my interest was piqued. Obviously the show would be a great feast for my eyes (lol) so I rounded up the scallywags last night and took a trip down to the Old Truman Brewery.  The exhibition is free and will be on until this Sunday but luckily for those who won't be able to make it, here's a few photos of my favourites.

Polyester Magazine Launch Night

The mag istself!
Whilst the werewolves were running amok on the night of the supermoon, London's babeliest creatives were making their way down to Doomed Gallery in Dalston to celebrate the launch of Polyester Magazine.

On entry I was handed a sangria with a pineapple cocktail straw and whilst happily sippping I noticed that the majority of my Tumblr dashboard were there which was simultaneously really strange and really exciting. Despite queueing forever, I never got my free nail makeover but I did have loads of fun listening to Cheyenne Davide's DJ set and mingling with friends old and new. Overall it was a fab night and I would like to express my thanks to Ione Gamble and everyone who made it possible!

We look like a girl band or extras from The Tribe
Met this lovely lady!
A couple of pictures of me with my work :)
Prints of both drawings displayed at the launch are available to buy from my Society6 page.

Jon Burgerman's Tumblr Girls

Picture of a Tumblr girl standing in front of many pictures of Tumblr girls, probably should've posted this on Tumblr for the girls.
If you're one of those people who go to the beach to ogle the ladies* but don't like the feel of sand against your skin then I've got just the thing for you. The place in question isn't actually on the shoreline - Beach London is an art space just off Brick Lane and it's currently full to the brim of Jon Burgerman's illustrations of cool womenfolk. Although only one room large, it's easily my favourite gallery in the city as the work on display is always simultaneously funny and aesthetically pleasing.

The cat on her right shoulder really speaks to me. No honestly, he won't shut up.
The above drawing was probably my favourite, firstly due to the cats but also because her lack of bodily detail gives off spooky ghost vibes. 'Tumblr Girls' ends April 26th so you still have ages to pop in but if you're not going to be in London any time soon then luckily for you he has posted some on Tumblr itself.

*Please don't actually ogle the ladies, nobody likes that guy.

February Favourites

Hey - I know it's technically the first of March but I felt like I couldn't publish this whilst it was still February just in case something amazing popped up at the last minute.

Penelope Gazin's Illustrations

See more here.
Penelope became one of my favourite illustrators pretty much the second I saw her grungey and humourous style. She's previously made work for VICE and FOXADHD.

Holly Falconer's 'FANGIRLS' for Diva Magazine

If you follow me on Twitter - you would've seen me retweet this photo series a couple of times. I love how you just know who the models are supposed to be portraying from a quick glance.

 MEAT Clothing's AW14 Video

Everything MEAT does is on point - including this new video for their AW14 range. They make me wish that all my clothes were made of latex.

Charlotte Rutherford for mysuperheromag.com

See the rest here.
Originally I was going to post Charlotte's music headshot series but then I saw this series and my eyeballs nearly fell out my head. This was my favourite shot of the lot as she's bringing out the space outlaw vibes.

Eleanor Hardwick's 'Hothouse Flower' for Rookie

See the rest here
I went beserk when I saw Yasmine tagged in these photos on Facebook - she looks absolutely amazing and I wouldn't be surprised if she was secretly a moth all along. Eleanor Hardwick's photos are perfect and I know from experience that she's a great photographer to work with.

First Dates with Hatti Rex and Paul Kindersley

Ironically this was actually the first time I had ever met Paul in person so it literally was our first date, so to speak. I know it's a bit cheeky to put something I've made in my favourites list but I really do love it. Click through to watch part two.

Bill+Mar-vellous = Roundup

Lurking down alleyways in a Bill+Mar shirt dress
As promised - here are more images from my collaboration with Bill+Mar - you can buy the main pieces that I'm wearing from their shop. These aren't all the images, there were so many good or funny ones that'd it'd take forever to edit and post them all. Saying that, some of these images are completely unedited. If you want to see more - keep an eye out on the Bill+Mar social media channels.

Photography by Anna Yeung, styling and everything else by me.

Slacking Off

Front window display featuring two illuminated side-portraits
On the walk back home from my slack-free internship yesterday, I stopped off at the Old Truman Brewery to ogle at Stevie Gee's motorbike-inspired solo show. His drawing style is fun and I love his use of colour, but my personal favourite was the customised actual-real-life motorbike illustrated with a cat-head on the most perfect gradient I've ever seen. If I ever have a mid-life crisis, it's the bike I'm going to get.

Gift shop featuring prints, tees, beanies, patches and zines. The cat shirt was so good!

Framed screen-prints
If reincarnation is a thing I want to come back as this bike because it's the coolest thing I've ever seen in my life
Could someone please get me the pink helmet? I promise to wear it all the time, even to the supermarket or in the shower.
Mr. Gee was there himself, he gave us these stickers and wrote his website on the back in pencil.
Shouts to Nick for alerting us to this show on his instagram.
